Why this workshop matters Today’s organizations face a double challenge: vast amounts of data, and rising expectations for faster, smarter decisions. But many teams struggle to bridge the gap between raw data and actionable insight — hampered by fragmented data, technical complexity, and lack of confidence. Enter AI. Tools like ChatGPT and Large Language Models (LLMs) are transforming how we work with data — making analysis more accessible through natural language interfaces. But AI alone isn’t enough: to drive impact, professionals still need to ask the right questions, structure their thinking, and interpret results carefully. This workshop helps you master both — building core analytics skills while learning how to apply AI thoughtfully to accelerate your work. How we help you get there Over two practical, hands-on days, you will: 🎯Understand the analytics value chain — and how AI can enhance, but not replace, human thinking. 🎯Learn a step-by-step process to move from problem definition to actionable insights. 🎯Build confidence in applying both traditional analytics and AI-powered tools (ChatGPT). 🎯Develop the mindset to ask better questions, test hypotheses, and interpret outcomes effectively. You'll leave equipped with the skills to conduct sound analysis and make better data-driven decisions — faster. What you’ll learn (using MS Excel & ChatGPT) Through guided exercises and group work, you will: 📌Define business problems and develop hypotheses. 📌Prepare and transform data for analysis (merging, error handling, calculated fields). 📌Apply descriptive statistics to understand your data. 📌Design effective data visualizations and interactive dashboards. 📌Conduct inferential analysis (sampling, hypothesis testing). 📌Use ChatGPT to complement your analytics workflow. Understand the limits of both traditional and AI-powered analysis — and interpret results wisely. Technical Requirements Please bring a laptop with Internet access, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (version 2019 or later), and the ability to access ChatGPT. ✳️ Public Service Officers may register for this workshop via HRP using the same class code
